about the series
In this new series, I wanted to delight the eyes. I want viewers (and me!) to enjoy looking at the art. “Look at this! Look at that!” Every time you look at one of these paintings, your brain sees something new.
Most of my paintings have bubbles, circles, and shapes in them. To me each of these represents ideas and when combined, you get a result greater than the sum of its parts. Lots of little ideas build great big beautiful concepts. And I love new ideas.
They’re complex constructions of hundreds, if not thousands, of little ideas that coalesce to make your brain dance.
So cue the music. It’s time to rock and roll. - Joe
