Joe Scalea is an artist living in Charleston, South Carolina and Baltimore County, Maryland. When not painting, he is a practicing transplant surgeon at an academic medical center.
Joe uses painting as a welcome distraction from the intensity of surgery and the enormity of managing life and death.
